Denbighshire has 48 county councillors representing 29 electoral wards. County Councillors are elected in the local government elections which are held every five years.

Voting

To vote in a local council election in Wales you must be registered to vote, 16 years or over on polling day and also be one of the following:

  • a British citizen
  • an Irish or EU citizen living in the UK
  • a Commonwealth citizen who has permission to enter or stay in the UK, or who does not need permission
  • a citizen of another country living in Wales or Scotland who has permission to enter or stay in the UK, or who does not need permission; and
  • not be subject to any legal incapacity to vote
