Promoting and supporting employee wellbeing is incredibly important to Denbighshire County Council. Our policies and pledges around mental health and wellbeing have been created to raise awareness, and educate our workforce to encourage open and honest conversations. We are proud of have been the first Local Authority in North Wales to have introduced a Menopause Policy, and intend to continue being the trend setter, making sure employee wellbeing is at the heart of everything we do.
We want our employees to know where they can access support for the times when they feel they need it most. Our Employee Assistance Programme (Vivup) is a free confidential, impartial service that provides advice on any issue 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
We also have an on-site Occupational Health Department and provide eye care vouchers.
