Swimming, spa and outdoor paddling pools

Swimming, spa and outdoor paddling pools

We monitor the pool water quality at privately owned pools that are used by the public e.g. hotel and caravan sites and our leisure centre pools. This is to make sure that pools are a healthy, safe environment.

Samples are taken for testing from swimming and spa pools once a month while outdoor paddling pool samples are taken once a fortnight. If a sample does not reach the standards set by the Pool Water Treatment Advisory Group (PWTAG) (external website), then we would instruct the relevant people to take action.

Please contact us if you are proposing a pool for use by the public, e.g. a new spa pool or hot tub.

Please contact us if you have a query or complaint about any of the above.
