UKSPF project: Horticulture Wales
Project lead: Wrexham Glyndwr University
Project overview
The project will build on a proven and independently assessed (Miller, July 2021) track record of Horticulture Wales (HW), establishing clusters and shortening supply chains.
By facilitating cluster collaboration, the project will establish community clusters, and work with Small and Medium Enterprises, Community Interest Companies and schools across the 3 county councils, to make latest growing technology knowledge accessible to all, creating positive community and economic benefits.
The project will create improved access to local produce, stronger supply chains, increase collaboration, raise awareness, and encourage citizen and volunteer participation in their local natural environment, while also educating communities on the impact horticulture can have on wellbeing.
