Communication Friendly Settings training

Communication Friendly Settings training will provide you with a range of strategies and resources to support speech, language and communication within early years’ settings.

The session will recap and build upon previous training delivered by the Pre-School Outreach Team and will include a variety of total communication strategies such as visuals, Makaton, transition songs and more.

When and where do courses take place?

The Communication Friendly Settings training will take place at the Welsh Language Development Centre on:

  • Monday 10 March 2025 from 12:30pm to 3:30pm
  • Monday 10 March 2025 from 6pm to 9pm
  • Friday 13 June 2025 from 9am to 12 noon
  • Friday 13 June 2025 from 12:30pm to 3:30pm

Parking

Limited car parking available at St Asaph Sports Centre. Additional car parking is available towards the Denbigh side of Ysgol Glan Clwyd and must be used for the afternoonsessions due to the school buses.

Please make sure you do not park in the leisure centre parking spaces. These spaces are restricted for use by users of St Asaph Leisure centre.

Who can attend?

The event is for:

  • setting staff in all early years’ childcare providers located in Denbighshire
  • Early Years staff in schools
  • Local Authority Pre-school support services
  • Umbrella Organisations

Maximum 2 members of staff per setting
