What do I do with car parts?

Car parts must not be placed in any domestic waste container as they can cause damage to the waste collection vehicles.

We do not accept car parts at our Recycling and Waste Parks.

Please contact your local garage or private hire collector.

Please check that your chosen operator has a licence to accept/transport your waste and keep a record of your transaction (such as a receipt).

You can check if the contractor is a licenced waste carrier, broker or dealer by visiting the Natural Resources Wales website (external website).

Ask the operator where your waste goes and keep records (such as website/phone details and vehicle registration number). Do not allow a private contractor to take or accept your waste unless you are satisfied it will be disposed of responsibly.
