Public toilet strategy: capital works programme

Corwen

An application was made through the Corwen Levelling Up Fund for the refurbishment of Corwen PODs which was accepted by the panel / Project Manager. The application was for the following:

• roof cleaning
• re-decoration / painting internally and externally
• replacement of all access doors to include money, RADAR Key and contactless payment access methods
• recommissioning of a fifth toilet facility

Rhyl Events Arena, Children's Village and Llangollen

Installation of Cashless card payment readers.

Rhyl, Old Golf Road

External Works

• Install Passive Infrared (PIR) lighting system
• Overhaul / renew extractor fan to male, female and disabled toilets

Internal Works

• Install internal PIR lighting system
• Renew missing tiles in male WC cubicles
• Painting and decoration

Rhyl Events Arena

75.4m circumference 12m radius

• Fit UPVC facia boards
• Remove and replace guttering
• Clear lichen and moss from concrete roof tiles
• Replace missing end caps cladding to sky lights

Prestatyn council offices, Nanthall Road

External Works

• Install PIR lighting system
• Overhaul / renew extractor fan to male, female and disabled toilets
• Remove steel gate and replace with fire door and frame to male and female entrance including fixtures and fittings

Rhyl Town Hall

Internal works

• Install PIR lighting system
• Overhaul / renew extractor fan to male, female and disabled toilets
• Overhaul disabled toilet boiler (to fix hot water issues)

Rhuddlan, Princess Road

• Remove steel gate and replace with fire door and frame to male, female entrance including fixtures and fittings
• Fit metal or aluminium clad fascia to front facing elevation of door
• Hack off and replace loose tiles to female to match existing

Dyserth, Waterfall Road

Remove steel gate and replace with fire door and frame to male and female entrance including fixtures and fitting

St Asaph, High Street

• Install PIR lighting system
• Overhaul / renew extractor fan to male, female and disabled toilets
• Remove steel gate and replace with fir door and frame to male and female entrance including fixtures and fittings
• Renew toilet cubicle door in male toilets to match existing similar to fire door thickness
• Remove all concrete coping slabs supply and fit missing slabs to match existing (approximately 3 slabs)

Prestatyn, Barkby Beach

• Install PIR lighting system (including internal sensor)
• Overhaul / renew extractor fan to male, female and disabled toilets
• Lift and renew damaged ceramic tile(s) to match existing
• Hack off render above entrance to expose lintel, clear rust and abrasions from lintel and paint to prevent corrosion, renew render and corner beads. Paint front elevation complete to match existing
