Following the recent disruption to recycling collections, the Council is changing the arrangements at Household Waste Recycling Centres (HWRCs) so that residents don’t need to book in advance.
This arrangement only applies to the sites at Denbigh, Rhyl and Ruthin. If residents want to use the pop-up services in Corwen and Llangollen, or the Plas Madoc site in Wrexham, they will still need to make an advance booking.
- Residents will be able to take any type of recycling to the HWRCs as long as it is separated into the different materials, i.e. paper; carboard; metal cans, tins and plastics; glass; food; and garden waste.
- Residents can make a booking on arrival using a tablet provided (assistance will be provided if needed).
- Capacity has been increased at the HWRCs to enable more people to visit each day.
- For the quickest and most convenient visit to a HWRC, the Council still recommends booking in advance.
- If residents have commercial vehicles that hold an e-permit allowing the deposit of household waste, they must continue to make an advance booking.
