Introduction to Prestatyn

Prestatyn is a seaside town popular with tourists, with it being well known for its beaches and family holiday parks.

The estimated resident population for the area is approximately 18,000.

Prestatyn has quickly become the principal retail centre for Denbighshire with a growing number of high street retail brands re-locating to or in the vicinity of ‘Parc Prestatyn’.

The town also boasts the second largest Town Centre in Denbighshire in terms of retail units, with its busy high street of independent businesses being close by to the shopping park.

Ysgol Penmorfa Flying Start Provision

Project overview: This project allowed for a small extension and refurbishment of an existing facility to provide additional capacity at the school for childcare provision.

Funding: Welsh Government Flying Start Capital Grant.


Caradoc Road, Prestatyn

Project overview: Construction of Passivhaus apartments on site of former school canteen and enabling works for development of second phase.

Funding: £1,200,000 – Denbighshire County Council Housing Revenue Account and Welsh Government Innovative Housing Grant.


Llys Llên, Nant Hall Road, Prestatyn

Project overview: Redevelopment of the former library site to provide apartments and commercial units.

Funding: £3,500,000 - Denbighshire County Council Housing Revenue Account and Welsh Government Social Housing Grant


Penisadre Road

Project overview: Improvements to uncontrolled pedestrian crossing and the introduction of a raised junction table.
