FIS training: Level 2 Allergy Awareness (online course)
The Level 2 Allergy Awareness Course is an online video-based course that follows the approved syllabus and is filmed on-location in an early years setting and a commercial kitchen.
Fully accredited by QUALIFI, an OFQUAL regulated UK Awarding Organisation, this course provides a good understanding of the threats posed by the 14 key food allergens named in the recent legislation changes. It also explains your UK legal obligations and what to do in the event of a suspected food allergy incident (Anaphylactic shock).
The course includes free unlimited online exam entry leading to a nationally recognised qualification (Endorsed Award) from OFQUAL regulated Awarding Organisation (certificate available as PDF download), and staff progress tracking system.
When and where do courses take place?
This course takes place online and should be completed within 30 days of registering the code you receive after registering for the course.
Who can attend?
This course is for all registered childcare providers in Denbighshire who are registered, or are registering, with the Care Inspectorate Wales (CIW) (external website).
The setting must also be registered with Dewis.Wales (external website)
How to get involved
There is a charge of £15 per person to attend this course and each person who wants to attend will need to complete the online booking request form.
After receiving a booking request, we will send an invoice to the childcare provider which must be paid promptly.
