FIS training: Group B Safeguarding
The Group B Safeguarding qualification is designed for learners who have contact with children, young people or vulnerable adults in their working environment, including voluntary work. It promotes awareness and sensitivity to safeguarding, enabling learners to identify issues and emphasises the responsibility to ensure that concerns are reported and acted on appropriately.
When and where do courses take place?
The Group B Safeguarding training takes place:
- Tuesday 6 and Wednesday 7 May 2025, 6:30pm to 8:30pm at The Oaktree Centre, Rhyl - this course is fully booked
- Saturday 14 June 2025, 9:30am to 1:30pm at The Centre, Ruthin
- Saturday 19 July 2025, 9:30am to 1:30pm at The Oaktree Centre, Rhyl - this course is fully booked
- Wednesday 15 and Thursday 16 October 2025, 6:30pm to 8:30pm at The Centre, Ruthin
- Monday 1 and Tuesday 2 December 2025, 6:30pm to 8:30pm at The Oaktree Centre, Rhyl

Who can attend?
This course is for all registered childcare providers in Denbighshire who are registered, or are registering, with the Care Inspectorate Wales (CIW) (external website).
The setting must also be registered with Dewis.Wales (external website)
How to get involved
Each person who wants to attend will need to complete the online booking request form.
After receiving the booking request we will then send a confirmation email with details of your upcoming training course.
