Time Out for Parents - Children with Additional Needs

The 'Time Out for Parents - Children with Additional Needs' course is to support families who have children with diagnosed or undiagnosed additional needs or some mild challenging behaviour.

Who is this course for? 

This course is only for parents/carers in the Families First or the Flying Start programme, who have children aged up to 19 years old with Additional Learning Needs (ALN). The ALN does not have to be diagnosed.

When and where do sessions take place?

The 'Time Out for Parents - Children with Additional Needs' sessions take place at the Margaret Morris Centre from 9:30am to 11:30am on:

  • Thursday 23 January 2025
  • Thursday 30 January 2025
  • Thursday 6 February 2025
  • Thursday 13 February 2025
  • Thursday 20 February 2025
  • Thursday 6 March 2025

There is an additional 4 week course for parents who have children with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), which takes place at the Margaret Morris Centre from 9:30am to 11:30am on:

  • Thursday 13 March 2025
  • Thursday 20 March 2025
  • Thursday 27 March 2025
  • Thursday 3 April 2025

The 'Eat Smart Save Better Workshop' also takes place at the Margaret Morris Centre on Thursday 10 April 2025 from 9:30am to 11:30am.
