What do I do with food?

You can recycle food using the appropriate container for your recycling and waste collections service or at a Recycling and Waste Park:

• Trolibocs service
• Bag service
• Communal bin service

Guidance

Recycle food in your silver kitchen caddy lined with a bio-bag.

Place the filled bag of food waste in your orange caddy.

Alternatively, in-date dried or tinned food can be donated to a local food bank (external website).

Businesses, charities and public sector organisations have the option of using our trade waste services or a private licensed waste management contractor.
